Fluke PRV240 - Proving Unit
The PRV240 is the only battery powered ac and dc voltage source that can be used to verify your test tool before taking actual measurements when a known source is not available. Verification of your test tool is recommended by CSA Z462, NFPA70E and GS38 before any live measurements are made.
- Sources both ac and dc steady state voltage
- Works with multimeters, clamp meters, voltage testers, and two pole testers.
Test Before Touch
The Fluke PRV240 Proving Unit provides a safe method to verify that your electrical test tool is operating properly before you conduct further tests. The concept of “Test Before Touch” (TBT) or three point test method involves testing your meter against a known live source before and after the actual measurement. This sequence verifies that your test tool is operating properly during the actual measurement.
