Sencore Amethyst: The Amethyst Smart Switcher is a state-of-the-art redundancy switcher for complete and secure content protection on your DTV network.

• A passive smart switch with both MPEG-2 DVB and ATSC transport stream analysis capabilities.
• Two operating modes, a main and spare mode with automatic return from the spare to main when valid, and redundancy mode in which no switching is done as long as the current input remains valid.
• A smart bypass guarantees service even in the case of power failure.
• Transport Stream analysis capabilities that are configurable through the GUI, plus TR 101 290 analysis capabilities to ensure signal quality.
• Real time template checking to verify contents of the transport stream actually match what is expected.
